We Believe Water Belongs at Home, Not Miles Away
Because when water isn’t at home, it steals time, limits opportunity, risks health, and keeps communities from moving forward.
Because when water isn’t at home, it steals time, limits opportunity, risks health, and keeps communities from moving forward.
When water is far, women lose time and income.
Girls miss class—or never get the chance.
Unsafe water leads to preventable illness.
Without access, communities can’t progress.
When my mom was a little girl, she used to walk about half a mile down a steep hill to get water for her family in Cyprus. That was just part of daily life.
The water was clean—but the walk stuck with me. And that was 50 years ago.
When I later learned that millions of people today—decades later—are still walking long distances for water that’s often contaminated, it stopped me in my tracks.
Progress shouldn’t move backward. And access to clean water shouldn’t depend on distance, luck, or where you’re born.
That realization stayed with me—and it’s one of the reasons I felt compelled to help.
Time is returned, health improves, and communities can finally move forward.
Not temporary fixes—real access that lasts.
We’re starting where we can—and building from there.
Water At Home is a long-term commitment. As this mission grows, we’ll share progress, stay accountable, and keep our focus on what truly matters: access that lasts.
